Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou, the oldest of four children, was born on August 8, 1976 in Beaumont Puy-de-Domme. Audrey Tautou's parents who are a dental doctor and teacher in a school were supportive and encouraged by her passion for acting and theatre. The initial goal of her to become a master monkey was surpassed by her desire to pursue a degree in theater and drama. It was a quick rise in her career to become an internationally renowned young actor. In 1998 after her studies, she was a participant in an French program for scouting talent on TV called Jeunes Premiers that was supported by Canal+ and won Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors prior to beginning the journey to become an actor. Tautou was raised in the context of a Catholic home and went to religious services, despite having was a student at school at the Institut Catholique de Paris. She pursued a career in modeling alongside her acting career and is the model for L'Oreal Mont Blanc and Chanel often referred to as The Chanel Muse. She also has a serious interest in photography and recently exhibited her work at the Arles Festival, titled Superficial. The work she produces is focused on fame as well as popularity. It also features portraits of herself and particular focus on the media that has scrutinised Tautou since her meteoric success following Amelie. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom and global fame after her first big role, starring as the lead in the film Le Fabuleux Destin de l'Amelie Poulain. Amelie has been a box office hit internationally and has been lauded at numerous award events around the globe. It is the top-grossing French film in America. In the following year, she was a part of British dramas, including Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things as well as Jean-Pierre Junet's Un long Sunday de Faancailles. In the following year, she moved to Hollywood in the United States, where Ron Howard directed the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code.
